Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team at W.E. O'Neil Construction. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for supporting the project manager in the full gamut of the construction process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, soils reports, RFIs, change orders, and more.
  • Coordinate the submittal process, including tracking, reviewing, resubmitting, and monitoring.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, ensuring consistent and accurate information exchange.
  • Support the project manager in negotiating and documenting subcontracts and change orders, job costing, and forecasting.
  • Assist the superintendent with subcontractor coordination and management.
  • Attend and record minutes for owner meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, safety walks, and other project-related meetings.
  • Manage the project closeout process, ensuring a smooth transition to the next phase.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong background in project management.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills, with a preference for senior Project Engineers or project engineers.
  • An undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or a related field.
