Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer to join our team at Kia Georgia, Inc. in the Assembly Shop. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting the installation of equipment required for production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate the installation of equipment and tools to support production.
  • Develop and implement training materials and plans for team members.
  • Support production lines and associated team members to ensure efficient operations.
  • Perform line balance activities to optimize production efficiency.
  • Support a continuous improvement program to drive corporate success.
  • Design and implement tools, production aids, and assist devices to enhance production efficiency.
  • Evaluate and implement new model launches, including equipment, tooling, and process sheets.
  • Lead problem-solving activities to ensure quality products and develop countermeasures.
  • Analyze trend data to develop and implement countermeasures to existing production concerns.
  • Develop and implement a proactive ergonomics program in production.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Flexible schedule to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and effective decision-making.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks with multiple priorities within a designated time frame.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
  • Experience with SAP system preferred.
