Position Title: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)

Location: Augusta, GA

Contract Duration: August 5, May 17, 2025

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Grade Levels Covered: K-12

Caseload Size: 14 students

Number of Campuses Assigned: 5-6 schools

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver educational instruction and assistance to K-12 students with visual impairments.
  • Effectively manage a caseload to ensure the diverse needs of all students are addressed.
  • Design and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student.
  • Engage in collaboration with parents, educators, and other staff to foster student development.
  • Conduct evaluations and monitor the academic progress of students.
  • Travel to various school locations as necessary.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as designated by the educational institution.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in managing IEPs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to travel between multiple educational sites.
