Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments. This role is essential in fostering an inclusive educational environment for K-12 students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored educational programs to students with visual impairments across various grade levels.
  • Effectively manage a caseload of students, ensuring that each individual's educational needs are addressed.
  • Design and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams.
  • Engage with parents, teachers, and other staff to promote student development and success.
  • Conduct evaluations and monitor the academic progress of students.
  • Travel to multiple educational facilities as necessary to provide consistent support.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the educational institution.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
  • Proficient in managing IEPs and understanding the unique needs of visually impaired students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative approach to working with educational teams.
  • Willingness to travel between different school locations.
