Certified Georgia Pre-K Lead Teachers are expected to create an engaging classroom atmosphere and deliver enriching educational experiences to our Pre-K students.
Key Responsibilities
Classroom Leadership: Design, oversee, and execute the educational program for your designated class in alignment with BBMA's mission and values. Implement our curriculum and age-appropriate learning activities as specified. Ensure that the monthly thematic curriculum is represented in your classroom through creative displays of student work.
Parental Engagement and Communication: Build strong relationships with parents to encourage open communication. Utilize the required electronic daily reporting application to share updates on each child's daily activities. Communicate effectively and professionally with children, supervisors, colleagues, and parents while maintaining confidentiality and exemplary customer service.
Operational Compliance: Adhere to all operational procedures, including tracking and transitions. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the classroom and assigned areas.
Collaboration: Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support fellow team members as needed.
Professional Development: All Pre-K educators are required to participate in annual training sessions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Certification to Teach Georgia Pre-K (T-4)(T-5) P-5 or P-8
- Minimum of six months experience in a licensed childcare setting
- Must meet current credentialing standards as specified by Georgia Pre-K
- Candidates must successfully pass all background checks and fulfill state requirements
- CPR and First Aid certification is mandatory
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and respond to children's needs, including bending, sitting on the floor, and standing for extended periods
- Capable of managing the daily demands of interacting with numerous children and parents positively.
