Note: This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in the Greater Atlanta area. Applications from candidates outside this area will not be considered.

Job Purpose

The Human Resources Specialist & Recruiter is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Human Resources department for BELAY and/or BELAY Financial. Key responsibilities include overseeing payroll, benefits, and leave administration, enforcing company policies, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role also emphasizes recruitment activities for both BELAY and/or BELAY Financial, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing potential candidates.

As a member of the BELAY Corporate Team, participation in virtual and onsite meetings is expected, while exemplifying the company's mission: BELAY exists to glorify God by providing solutions that empower our clients to reach new heights.

Duties and Responsibilities

Represent BELAY in a professional and positive manner.

Human Resources Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources and the HR team to identify and address employee needs.
  • Serve as a cultural ambassador, ensuring the integrity of our culture is upheld as the company grows. Monitor employee well-being and satisfaction, communicating any potential cultural or organizational health issues.
  • Work with the Senior HR Specialist to ensure a premier onboarding experience for all new employees.
  • Assist with cross boarding and off-boarding project tasks for employees.
  • Administer and execute HR programs:
    • Compensation: Develop and implement competitive salary structures, manage payroll processes, and ensure compliance with applicable wage laws. Assist in creating compensation policies and practices.
    • Benefits: Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other supplementary benefits. Act as the primary contact for employee benefits inquiries. Coordinate annual open enrollment processes and communicate benefits changes to employees.
    • Leave Management: Manage the administration of employee leave programs, including parental leave and FMLA. Ensure accurate tracking of leave balances and compliance with federal and state regulations. Provide support and guidance to employees and managers on leave policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay informed about HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to review, track, and document compliance with training and continuing education.
  • Engage in team connection activities.
  • Participate in research and professional development initiatives as necessary.
  • Conduct bi-annual audits to ensure data integrity of employee files.
  • Oversee payroll processing for corporate employees, collaborating with the Finance department to ensure timely and accurate payment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Recruiting Responsibilities:

  • Assist in recruitment efforts for both BELAY and BELAY Financial, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
  • Work with hiring managers to understand staffing needs.
  • Ensure professional and responsive communication with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Stay updated on recruiting best practices and compliance.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should be professional, proactive, and confident in prioritizing the employee experience. Candidates must be comfortable with technology and applications, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have a genuine passion for people. A high degree of confidentiality is required due to access to sensitive information.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Prior experience in recruitment or working for a Financial Institution.
  • Experience in Payroll administration.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Must be a driven self-starter, a positive thinker, loyal and trustworthy.
  • Flexibility, creativity, self-discipline, strong organizational skills, and action orientation are essential for this role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team player willing to contribute to projects as needed.
  • A high degree of autonomy with the capability of working remotely.

Working Conditions

BELAY Corporate, as a virtual company, allows for full-time remote work. A dedicated and secure workspace, free of distractions, is required. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday.

This role is a full-time, exempt W-2 position. Expect to work hard while enjoying the dynamic environment of a growing company.

Salary

The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $60,000.
