Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Contracts Associate to join our team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and executing research agreements, as well as managing agreements for consortiums and strategic alliances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Agreements/Transactions: Utilize institutional templates to draft agreements, and develop new agreements when necessary.
  • Negotiation: Independently negotiate complex agreements, including sponsored research agreements and IP licenses.
  • PI/Faculty Relationship Management: Respond to inquiries from principal investigators, draft complex written messages, and coordinate meetings with PIs and other parties.
  • Contract Management: Monitor adherence to contractual terms with third parties, and articulate institutional policies and practices to PIs and external parties.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in biological or chemical science, or JD degree.
  • Experience: 3 years of research contracts experience at an academic institution and/or life sciences company.
  • Skills: Comprehension of science, translation of medical innovation, knowledge of DFCI technology, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
