Job Summary

The Concrete Foreman/Finisher is a key member of our construction team at Creative Design Concepts, Inc. This role involves overseeing the construction of concrete structures, including ditch paving, flatwork, retaining walls, and barrier walls. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construct and install concrete forms, ensuring they are properly constructed and aligned.
  • Dig and prepare concrete footers, and check forms for accuracy.
  • Assist in pouring and finishing concrete, including spreading, leveling, and smoothing.
  • Remove forms and debris, and haul off materials as needed.
  • Drive company trucks and equipment, and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Monitor and maintain quality standards, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a laborer or construction role is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, and have a clear driving record.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to be covered under the Company's automobile insurance is required.
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and adhere to random tests for the duration of employment is required.
Work Environment

This role involves working in an outdoor environment with frequent exposure to mechanical hazards, extreme temperatures, and physical demands. The employee must be able to stand, walk, and lift heavy materials repetitively, and wear PPE as required.

Physical Demands and Mental Competencies

The employee must be able to concentrate and remain alert for long periods of time, and have excellent vision and hearing abilities. The employee must also be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
