Position Overview:

We are seeking a Monitor who will play a crucial role in overseeing and guiding individuals within our programs. This position involves providing support and supervision to our participants around the clock, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and supervise participants during both day and evening shifts, reporting any signs of substance abuse or emergencies.
  • Oversee daily activities and take charge in the absence of other staff members.
  • Conduct regular checks and maintain accurate documentation of participant status.
  • Act as a mentor and positive influence, intervening in conflicts and ensuring participant safety.
  • Implement emergency procedures and assist in maintaining the facility's cleanliness and order.
  • Document critical incidents and maintain thorough records as required.
  • Engage in community events and pursue additional training opportunities.
  • Provide First Aid and CPR when necessary, adhering to all relevant regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR.
  • Understanding of cultural and ethnic diversity within criminal justice populations.
  • Knowledge of the psychological and social impacts of incarceration.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
