About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Bath Fitter. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an annual Health and Safety plan with clear goals and objectives.
  • Lead the Health and Safety committee, ensuring decisions are followed through and implemented effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and health & safety regulations, conducting regular safety inspections, audits, and equipment reviews.
  • Deliver training on health and safety topics, including ergonomics, Hazcom, and lockout-tagout, and maintain training records and track health and safety metrics.
  • Conduct accident investigations and implement corrective actions, managing workplace accidents, occupational disease records, and emergency response plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Relations, Human Resources Management, or a related field.
  • Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) or Industrial Hygiene.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Health and Safety Advisor, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations, including understanding of OHSA standards for pallet racks.
  • High level of autonomy, resourcefulness, and commitment to safety, with the ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
