Imaging Services Supervisor

As a Supervisor of Imaging Services, you will oversee the daily operations of the assigned clinical imaging service section(s). This includes planning daily work schedules and assignments, ensuring that work is done and reported promptly and accurately. You will also support the manager in preparing schedules and arranging coverage. Additionally, you will recognize the need for and assume departmental responsibilities daily, when scheduled or in the case of staffing shortages. Your goal will be to ensure testing operates efficiently and effectively, in accordance with all system and regulatory agency standards. This includes monitoring department turnaround times, investigating and implementing corrective action, monitoring inventory and ordering supplies. You will also comply with preventive maintenance and quality control procedures. Furthermore, you will serve as a technical resource to subordinates in resolving complex problems and in investigating and recommending corrective actions in response to incident reports and/or patient complaints. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring the attainment of objectives through developing, training and evaluating imaging staff, participating in the hiring process, making suggestions to the manager for improved work methods and ways to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and solve operational problems, and performing other related duties as required and directed.
Requirements:
Associate's degree and 4 years of experience in a related discipline, or High School diploma and 7 years of experience in a related discipline. Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology is also required. Additionally, BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent is required before the start date and valid at least 60 days beyond the start date. A Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or business administration is preferred.
