Job Summary:

As a Computed Tomography Technologist at Della Infotech, you will play a critical role in coordinating and participating in all computerized tomography scanning procedures. Your expertise in setting up, monitoring, and operating complex computerized equipment will be essential in providing diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and monitor computer operation of C.T. equipment, ensuring patient safety and proper lifting techniques.
  • Provide required patient identification and obtain vital information regarding known allergies and medical history.
  • Prepare and inject contrast media intravenously as needed for examinations, following protocol guidelines set by Radiologists.
  • Develop and record images for permanent patient files, and store studies on magnetic tape for future reference.
  • Organize daily patient schedules in collaboration with work-room technicians.
  • Maintain image quality, adhering to department guidelines, and perform daily calibration and quality control of equipment.
  • Ensure proper repair of equipment, following MRMC protocols for imaging procedures.
  • Responsible for electronic/digital image capture, storage, transfer, and copy.
  • Monitor patients for allergic reactions and take necessary action, assisting with emergency medical situations, including providing basic CPR.
  • Ensure protection for self and patients, adhering to current safety standards and regulations set by the Michigan Department of Public Health.
  • Maintain a clean working environment and ensure supplies are within department inventory levels.
  • Provide instruction to new personnel as needed.
  • Assist Radiologists and other physician specialists in performing specialized radiological procedures, adhering to department standards.
  • Review and record patient history and clinical data to aid Radiologists in diagnosis.
  • Maintain Registry in accordance with regulatory agency requirements.
  • Participate in Medical Center and/or departmental quality assessments and continuous quality improvement opportunities.

BLS
