Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Palliative Care Team in Waco/Hillcrest, Texas.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage the physical and mental condition of patients through comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories.
- Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests to assess patient problems and healthcare needs.
- Prescribe and recommend medical therapies, procedures, and interventions to modify behavior associated with health risks.
- Develop and implement comprehensive patient treatment plans based on patient assessments, evidence-based medicine, and professional practice guidelines.
- Counsel patients and families regarding medical processes, management of health conditions, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Less than 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant.
- Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
