Physician Assistant Cardiology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Ascension Providence in Waco, Texas. As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced medical staff to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
- Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
- Accept patient referrals from other physicians and act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses.
- Participate in academic programs, such as medical education and research, as requested.
- Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements and appeal all denials in a timely manner.
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on-call schedules.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
- Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Physician Assistant Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Advanced Life Support from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred.
- 1 year of experience preferred.
