Physician Assistant

Ascension Providence is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team in Waco, Texas. As a PA, you will work closely with our physicians to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our medical group.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
- Recommend and participate in efforts to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
- Accept patient referrals from other physicians and act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization.
- Participate in academic programs, such as medical education and research, as requested.
- Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements and appeal all denials in a timely manner.
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on-call schedules.

Requirements- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
- Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Physician Assistant Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Advanced Life Support from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred.
Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program required. Master's degree preferred. 1 year of experience preferred.
