We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Manager to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall availability and reliability of our data center operations, meeting or exceeding defined service levels.
Key Responsibilities- Lead teams in hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repair and participate in on-call rotations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve data center operations, mentoring team members and sponsoring projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, plan, deliver, and operate AWS global infrastructure.
- Participate in site-level project work, fix complex problems, and create documentation to innovate solutions.
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of professional or military experience in an IT-related field.
- 2+ years of experience managing people in a technical environment.
- 2+ years of experience with networking, computer hardware, and Linux systems administration.
- Effective communication and decision-making skills, behavioral interviewing and hiring experience, and experience in managing budgets.
