About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Manager to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall availability and reliability of our data center operations, meeting or exceeding defined service levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead teams in hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repair and participate in on-call rotations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve data center operations, mentoring team members and sponsoring projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, plan, deliver, and operate AWS global infrastructure.
  • Participate in site-level project work, fix complex problems, and create documentation to innovate solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of professional or military experience in an IT-related field.
  • 2+ years of experience managing people in a technical environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with networking, computer hardware, and Linux systems administration.
  • Effective communication and decision-making skills, behavioral interviewing and hiring experience, and experience in managing budgets.
