About the Role:

The Data Center Manager will be responsible for ensuring the overall availability and reliability of data center operations, meeting or exceeding defined service levels. This involves leading teams in hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repair, and participating in an on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading teams in hardware and network diagnostics and repair
  • Participating in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 availability
  • Creating and devising strategies to improve data center operations
  • Mentoring people at all levels and sponsoring projects
  • Proposing technical solutions to improve data center operations

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of professional or military experience in an IT-related field
  • 2+ years of experience managing people in a technical environment
  • 2+ years of experience participating in on-call rotations and providing after-hours support in a 24/7 environment
  • 2+ years of experience with networking or computer hardware
  • 2+ years of previous data center management experience
  • Effective communication and decision-making skills
  • Behavioral interviewing and hiring experience
  • Experience in managing budgets
  • Project management experience
  • Technical writing experience
  • High-level knowledge of Linux systems administration

The base pay for this position ranges from $62,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $158,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
