Job Overview

Position Objective:

The role is situated in a dynamic and time-sensitive environment, necessitating strong analytical skills, precision, and meticulous attention to detail. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative, team-focused atmosphere. This position is accountable for overseeing and managing all deposit-related transactions across various system applications, including wire transfers, ACH, and electronic funds transfers. The candidate will embody Civista Bank's mission to enhance the financial well-being of our employees and stakeholders while positively impacting the communities we serve.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Process daily incoming and outgoing domestic and international wire transfers.
  • Investigate and post incoming ACH return items, addressing customer inquiries with thorough research and corrections.
  • Handle ACH deceased returns and reclamations efficiently.
  • Conduct daily reconciliations of various ACH internal and general ledger accounts.
  • Perform daily research and rectify transactional discrepancies.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned, supporting the core responsibilities of the role.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in banking, financial services, or a related field.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with relevant office administrative skills or certifications.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities, with a proven capacity to address inquiries with professionalism and patience.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and follow-up skills, alongside excellent interpersonal communication capabilities.
  • Ability to adhere to detailed instructions and a diverse range of procedures requiring sound judgment.
  • Proficient typing and computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to navigate various software applications.
  • A willingness and eagerness to be cross-trained in multiple job functions within the department.

Physical Demands:

  • Position requires prolonged use of computer screens, leading to potential eye strain.
  • Ability to maintain focus on tasks amidst potentially distracting work conditions.
  • Capability to lift and transport files weighing up to 15 lbs.
  • Effective communication skills are necessary for professional interactions, both in person and via telephone, with extended periods of sitting.
  • Some travel may be required for meetings and training sessions.
