About the Role

At N Street Village INC, we are seeking a highly skilled Homeless Housing Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time exempt position that requires collaboration with internal teams, partner agencies, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support to clients.

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $70,000 per year, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish rapport with clients through regular contact and communication to understand their housing and support needs.
  • Create a safe and supportive environment for clients to discuss and resolve challenges related to housing, financial concerns, employment, recovery, and mental health.
  • Provide individualized case management services, meeting with clients bi-weekly or as outlined in contracts.
  • Cookation of referrals for housing and supportive services with internal teams and external partners.
  • Assist clients with applications for housing programs, such as Local Rent Subsidy Program (LRSP) and Shelter Plus Care (SPC), ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.

Qualifications

  • A combination of education and experience totaling at least 5 years, focusing on mental health, physical health, addiction, aging, or trauma.
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred in a Human Services discipline such as Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience providing case management services.
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work requires licensure at the LSWA level.
