Job Summary

The Production Technician II role is a critical position that supports the operations team in ensuring the smooth operation of production equipment throughout the facility. This role requires troubleshooting equipment issues and performing preventive maintenance with limited supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports company and industry-standard safety policies and procedures, including OSHA, NEC, NFPA, USDA, and FDA regulations.
  • Perform inspections and complete preventive/predictive maintenance tasks on production and process utility equipment to increase quality, safety, and overall equipment reliability.
  • Diagnose and repair production and process utility equipment deficiencies and failures, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Learn and use continuous improvement tools and methods to improve equipment reliability, including root cause analysis and failure mode analysis.
  • Work and train with OEM technicians during production equipment rebuilds, line moves, installations, setups, calibrations, and emergency repairs.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Responsible for effectively managing assigned planned work, unplanned failures, and work orders in a high-paced, fluid work environment.
  • Responsible for accurately and concisely logging work orders in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to properly track maintenance and equipment performance metrics.
Requirements
  • Three (3) plus years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems, electrical components, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, material handling equipment, etc.
  • Preferred experience working in a food processing environment and familiar with USDA, FDA, and SQF policies and procedures.
Working Conditions

The associate may occasionally be required to travel to other Operating Companies or the corporate office as business needs dictate.
