Job Summary:
MV Transportation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Reservationist. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for accepting trip reservations from eligible passengers, collecting all necessary data required to schedule trips accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reservation Management: Answer passenger calls, collecting all necessary trip information for the permissible time period.
- Customer Support: Provide system information for current and new passengers, as well as potential passengers, on accessing the transportation service and using it effectively.
- Data Entry: Complete data entry of passenger file information and for specific trip requests, negotiating requested times where necessary or appropriate.
- Communication: Provide feedback to passengers in the way of follow-up calls as a course of duty or as required by schedule changes.
- Record Keeping: Maintain up-to-date passenger records in our customer database, making all necessary changes in status, client contact information, fare/rider type, or other important field entries.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe work area and a focus on safety to reduce the opportunity for injury to self or other employees.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Maintain accurate records and appropriate filing systems.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with operations staff regarding scheduling or passenger issues.
- Multi-Tasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and effectively.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills.
- Professionalism: Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Reliability: Reliable in attendance.
- Teamwork: Team player and helpful to staff, management, and peers.
Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills: Experience in paratransit scheduling utilizing Trapeze PASS, preferred.
- Decision-Making: Possess excellent decision-making skills.
- Attendance: Excellent attendance record.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Telephone Skills: Telephone speaking and/or call center experience.
- Computer Skills: Computer experience.
Compensation: Starting pay rate: $19.49/hour.
