Job Summary

Maintain high-quality cleaning standards and cleaning supply inventory, perform grounds maintenance duties, and timely repair and maintenance of facility equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain daily cleaning schedule using standard procedures, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, floor care, general cleaning of patient rooms, bathrooms, and facility.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance and cleaning schedule of facility, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and vehicles. Make minor repairs to equipment, tables, chairs, etc. All repairs must be approved by manager prior to work being performed.
  • Maintain proper appearance of grounds, and keep walkways and parking areas free of debris, snow, and ice.
  • Report the need for repairs or replacement of equipment, furniture, and fixtures.
  • Assist with patient evacuation in case of fire or other emergency and during fire drills.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving.
  • Responsible for adhering to all safety practices and procedures.
  • Know the mission and values of Ranken Jordan and in accordance, maintain appropriate professional behavior at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Director and/or Manager of Facilities.
Requirements
  • Maintenance/Housekeeping personal must demonstrate the correct use of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
  • Must be able to read, speak, write, make calculations, and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must have the ability to use tools and equipment associated with general maintenance and housekeeping.
Physical Demands

These include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, grasping, pulling, pushing, climbing ladders, standing, carrying, and lifting of heavy loads (up to 50 lb.).
