We are seeking a highly skilled Loan Coordinator II to join our team at BankTalent HQ. As a key member of our commercial lending department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of customer and loan information within our loan origination system.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a deep understanding of our bank's credit culture and provide guidance to Relationship Managers on deviations from standard practices.
- Act as a resource for Relationship Managers on loan operations and the processing of loan requests through our loan origination system.
- Serve as a liaison between commercial lending departments, including Credit, Compliance, Deposit Operations, Loan Documentation, Loan Servicing, and Post-Closing Review.
- Independently manage and oversee annual renewals, new loan requests, and monthly reporting tasks with minimal supervision.
- Complete daily processes and maintain pace with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end volume levels.
- Enter customer and loan information into our loan origination system with a focus on data integrity at the point of input.
- Obtain all pre-closing documentation requirements, such as flood letters, title work, appraisals, entity documents, corporate searches, and credit bureau reports.
- Interact with clients, both verbally and in writing, to collect data, documents, and general customer service requests as directed by the Relationship Manager.
- Review closed loan packages to ensure no changes to loan documents were made at closing without approval per loan policy.
- Request Change Memos reflecting adjustments made to the loan request post-approval.
- Verify recordation and collateral perfection if applicable.
- Monitor and assist in clearing exception items.
- Provide guidance and training to other Loan Coordinators in support of the Manager or Team Lead.
- Monitor monthly reports for the RM Team.
- Assist in processing and responding to daily overdrafts as per RM instructions and bank policies as needed.
- Assemble and coordinate required financial information from clients to the Credit Department for analysis as needed.
- Provide backup support for other Loan Coordinators during vacations and high-volume periods.
- Participate in internal committees and task forces as requested by the Manager.
- High School diploma; continued education such as an Associate's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 or more years of loan coordinating experience, capable of handling a pipeline of 15+ loans at any given time.
- Strong knowledge of C&I and CRE lending processes and procedures.
- Previous exposure to attorney-prepared documentation is preferred.
