As a Vehicle Body Construction Specialist, your role will involve fabricating walls, floors, roofs, and decking, as well as assembling the components necessary to create a complete vehicle body and securing it onto various vehicle systems across a diverse array of vehicle types and sizes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Cut raw materials according to specifications outlined in work instructions.
2. Assemble various components of the vehicle body (Roof, Walls, Nose, Deck, Understructure, Lining, etc.) following blueprint guidelines.
3. Construct a complete vehicle body, including sealing and installing different types of doors.
4. Secure the finished body onto the designated vehicle systems.
5. Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
6. Ensure quality by inspecting components throughout the assembly process.
7. Operate manual plasma cutters, forklifts, and overhead cranes as needed.
8. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
9. Adhere to all required personal protective safety equipment.
10. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives by providing suggestions and demonstrating initiative in relevant areas.
11. Welding experience is preferred.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position involves frequent mobility and/or sitting, standing, bending, or stooping for extended periods.
Requires lifting up to 75 pounds regularly.
Involves stretching to reach items weighing up to 75 pounds.
Work may occur in areas without ventilation or air conditioning.
Requires good eye-hand coordination to operate machinery.
Occasionally involves working at heights using ladders or mechanical lifts.
Requires a full range of body motion, including handling, lifting, and manual dexterity.
May require working under stress or irregular hours.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Requires normal hearing and vision capabilities.
Must be able to interpret vague and implicit instructions and respond appropriately in all work situations.
Effective verbal communication is essential.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
Ability to read blueprints and work orders is essential.
Must be proficient in using a tape measure.
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are required.
Experience with vehicle electrical and mechanical systems, as well as installation techniques, is beneficial.
Proficiency in using various power and hand tools is expected.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle constant interruptions is crucial.
Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary.
Detail-oriented approach is required.
Must successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical, and drug screening.
