Job Title: Mobile Unit Driver

At Salud Family Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mobile Unit Driver to join our team. As a Mobile Unit Driver, you will play a critical role in providing healthcare services to our patients in rural and underserved communities.

Job Summary:

The Mobile Unit Driver will be responsible for driving the Mobile Unit to scheduled locations, inspecting the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. You will also be responsible for patient registration and check-in, monitoring inventory, and providing reports to the Migrant Health Director.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive the Mobile Unit to scheduled locations, ensuring timely arrival and departure.
  • Inspect the vehicle regularly to ensure it is in good working condition, using the Mobile Unit Inspection Report.
  • Perform patient registration and check-in, including reviewing program qualifications and enrolling patients in the agricultural program.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies to the Migrant Health Director.
  • Provide reports on inventory levels and other relevant information to the Migrant Health Director.
  • Attend community meetings, workshops, and seminars as assigned by the Migrant Health Director.
  • Assist in providing high-quality services during visits in the Mobile Unit.
  • Contribute to a team effort, accomplishing related results as required.
  • Keep the Mobile Unit clean and organized, including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning counters and other surfaces.
  • Schedule maintenance and repairs for the engine, chassis, or airstream as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with Medical Providers, Medical Assistants, Enrollment Specialists, Customer Service Associates, and other staff to ensure patients receive the highest standard of integrated healthcare.
  • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring patients are fully informed and comfortable with their visit to Salud Family Health.
  • Follow procedures for the electronic health records system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Migrant Health Director, including health activities and outreach.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least two years of experience working in a cross-cultural healthcare environment, preferably with experience driving and maintaining large vehicles.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of vehicles maintenance and experience driving large vehicles.
  • Knowledge of Colorado's driving laws and common safety hazards.
  • Skilled driver with the ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
  • Sensitivity to low-income and ethnic minority communities.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish mastery.

  • Starting hourly range: $20-$23 per hour.
