Job Summary

The Kroger Company is seeking a skilled Front End Department Leader to oversee the daily operations of our front end department. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient operations, adhering to company policies and procedures, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Assign duties to workers and schedule shifts to meet business needs.
  • Interview and hire applicants to fill open positions.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the operation of the front end department.
  • Prepare required paperwork pertaining to departmental functions.
  • Organize and coordinate the work of staff and convention personnel for meetings and events.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in retail management or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
