About the Role

Kimball Midwest, a leading national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is seeking a highly skilled Credit and Collections Manager to join our team in Columbus, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Credit and Collections transformation effort to ensure optimal credit management practices.
  • Optimize Accounts Receivable and Credit & Collections processes and policies to drive business growth.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies, and implement changes to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Take ownership of complex problems, analyze root causes, and develop solutions to resolve recurring issues.
  • Foster a culture of change and support within the organization to achieve business objectives.
  • Assist the credit and collections team in achieving their goals.
  • Develop and present reports to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for business improvement.
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to team members, supporting their career development.
  • Partner with the sales team to build and maintain a strong working relationship, driving cash collection and reducing past due accounts.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of sales policies related to credit and collections, and participate in ongoing training to support credit risk management.
  • Perform other duties as identified to support the credit team or as directed by leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Credit & Collections, with a focus on Business to Business (B2B) collections and credit.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret credit reports and use accounting software.
  • Intermediate computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to read and write small letters and numbers, and perform arithmetic calculations.
  • The execution of an Employment Agreement.
