Job Title: Water Treatment Specialist

USALCO, a leading provider of municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment chemistry, is seeking a Water Treatment Specialist to join our team in Texas.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing market and sales strategies to drive growth. This role requires a self-starter with excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve growth targets
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure quality, value, and responsiveness
  • Secure new customers and assist existing customers in achieving effective and efficient treatment
  • Create marketing plans and strategies, including evaluation and entry into target markets and trade shows
  • Develop and propose changes to the strategic business plan to ensure positioning for long-term growth
  • Communicate progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters, including technical support, field testing, optimization, pricing, etc.
  • Analyze and interpret contracts, bids, general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures
  • Forecast and track key account metrics, such as quarterly sales results and annual forecasts
  • Compose reports and business correspondence
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
  • Knowledge of appropriate software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and CRM software
  • Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, and English communication skills
  • Ability to problem-solve quickly and prioritize tasks according to their importance
  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or relevant role
  • 3 years of successful experience in an industrial and/or technical outside sales role
  • Valid driver's license
Working Conditions
  • Regular visits to customers are required
  • Environment primarily includes indoor work
  • Environment for occasional outdoor exposures at plant locations includes hazardous materials, loud noise, and extreme heat/cold
  • Physical requirements include standing, sitting, stooping, reaching, bending, and typing
  • Workdays are Monday to Friday, with weekend work as needed
