$15K Sign-on Bonus for Experienced Neuro OR RNs

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills, understanding the unique needs of the patient population served. Each service area requires specialized skills, and care delivery is tailored to the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs of individual patients. The Registered Nurse may rotate to different service areas and will perform only those duties for which they have demonstrated competency. Delegated duties must align with the scope of practice and the overall care delivery philosophy at Swedish Medical Center.

Qualifications Required:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado or active multistate nursing licensure.
  • Current BLS Certification through AHA or ARC.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Preferred: Minimum one year of experience in OR nursing.
  • Verification of competencies in relevant procedures is required.

Some neurosurgical procedures performed include:

  • Deep brain stimulation (DBS) for neurological conditions such as movement disorders.
  • Surgical management of epilepsy, including resection, laser ablation, stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG), DBS, responsive neurostimulation (RNS), and vagus nerve stimulation (VNS).
  • Functional surgery for chronic craniofacial, spinal, and extremity pain disorders.
  • Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) for treating intracranial tumors, functional disorders, vascular malformations, and neurological disorders.
