Senior Systems Administrator

Job Summary:
Maury Microwave seeks a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to maintain the company's essential IT infrastructure, including servers, operating systems, security tools, applications, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and other ancillary IT hardware. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows and IBM server and network administration, as well as proficiency in databases (MS SQL & AS400) administration.

Key Responsibilities:
Administration of Company's IT network infrastructure to include server administration, network configurations, firewall management, and data center management. Manage data backups and storage needs. Administration and execution of Company's helpdesk function - managing employee onboarding/exit processes, managing user support tickets, troubleshoot & resolve issues, document process within the ticketing system and provide post-resolution follow ups as necessary. Manage all company owned personal computers to include initial configuration, software installation, deployment, service/repairs and upgrades. Ensure that all operating systems (both servers and workstations) are kept up to date, ensuring timely deployment of available software patches and upgrading as appropriate to avoid use of unsupported systems. Maintain hardware and software inventory and ensure timely renewals of associated maintenance contracts and/or subscriptions. Work with business to procure new hardware and software as needed, ensuring purchases are reasonable and within budget, or otherwise approved by senior management. Maintain user access controls through the creation and management of user accounts and associated system permissions. Administer other basic security measures (i.e. antivirus software, MFA, encryption tools, employee security awareness training, SIEM platform, etc.). Provide basic employee system training. Backup administrator for core business applications (Google Workspace tools, O365, Salesforce, SAP Concur, Frevvo). Perform various system & network assessments as requested. Maintain IT network, systems and process documentation. Identify IT process and systems improvement opportunities and assist in developing the overall IT strategy.

Requirements:
College degrees or equivalent business experience preferred. 5 years of equivalent work experience. Proficiency within Windows and IBM server and network administration. Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, DHCP and server virtualization. Knowledge in databases (MS SQL & AS400) administration. Familiarity with Cisco equipment (phone system, firewall & switches). Familiarity with Salesforce CRM, Frevvo workflow, SAP Concur a plus. Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude, ability to work independently. Good written and verbal communication skills.
