Position Overview
SAIC is in search of a dedicated IT Project Manager to operate within a vibrant and fast-evolving organization. This role entails leading a diverse array of IT initiatives while applying established project management methodologies. The selected candidate will be accountable for guaranteeing that the necessary capabilities demanded by the government client are effectively delivered and acknowledged.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate proactively across divisions with CIO leadership, program managers, engineers, and other vital stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and synchronization of project management efforts.
- Facilitate meeting arrangements, clarify project scope, ensure adherence to policies, align with strategic objectives, and maintain effective communication.
- Coordinate with fellow project and program managers to secure the availability of engineering, cyber security, and operational subject matter experts for project delivery.
- Guide the project team in adhering to comprehensive communication and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Maintain and update project plans using MS Project and manage documentation on Project Server.
- Utilize MS Office tools to develop and sustain project plans, timelines, Statements of Work, Bill of Materials, risk assessments, and presentations.
- Implement risk management strategies to identify, evaluate, mitigate, accept, or disregard risks associated with all projects.
- Coordinate activities with IT portfolio managers, governance/policy leaders, resource managers, program managers, and government representatives to ensure that proposed solutions are supportable and documented across all functions, including complete cyber security accreditation and operational network sustainability.
- Ensure that all changes to project scope are thoroughly evaluated and documented.
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to reduce design time and minimize service transition risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 7+ years of experience.
- Possession of an active PMP certification.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management.
- Must hold an active DoD Top Secret clearance with the capability to obtain SCI clearance.
