Principal Applications Engineering Specialist

Your Role:

As a dedicated Applications Engineer, you will bring your expertise in the design and verification of cutting-edge silicon chips. Your extensive background in ASIC design, utilizing industry-standard hardware description languages such as Verilog and VHDL, distinguishes you in this role. You will possess a profound understanding of design methodologies, including RTL implementation, logic optimization, and advanced power optimization techniques. Your technical proficiency will be complemented by your strong communication skills, allowing you to convey complex design methodologies and collaborate effectively with clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitating the sale and integration of Synopsys products to enhance customer performance in terms of cost, quality, and development timelines.
  • Providing specialized knowledge in synthesis (logical and physical), formal verification, VHDL and Verilog RTL coding, static timing analysis, and power evaluation.
  • Communicating design methodologies that incorporate Synopsys tools and demonstrating proficiency across the complete Synopsys tool suite.
  • Overseeing multiple customer engagements simultaneously and prioritizing tasks in collaboration with Account Managers and management teams.
  • Conducting product demonstrations, evaluations, and competitive analyses as part of the sales support function.
  • Delivering training, resolving technical issues, and managing customer accounts to ensure satisfaction.
  • Engaging in account strategy and developing tailored Synopsys solutions by understanding customer requirements and challenges.

Qualifications:
  • Significant experience in ASIC design utilizing Verilog/VHDL.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design methodologies, including RTL implementation and logic optimization.
  • Expertise in Synopsys front-end tools such as Fusion Compiler, Design Compiler, and Formality.
  • Strong grasp of static timing analysis and power optimization strategies.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

Team Environment:

You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative group of Design Methodology Specialists within our Customer Success division. This team is dedicated to supporting the sale and adoption of Synopsys products, assisting customers in achieving their design objectives efficiently. We work closely with Account Managers and management teams to deliver outstanding technical support and account management services.
