Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer Manufacturing to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing life cycle and root cause failure analysis of steam facility equipment, including boilers, cooling towers, condensers, and other high temperature and pressure systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of steam facility equipment to identify areas for improvement and optimize system performance.
  • Develop and implement new systems and operating profiles to increase test facility efficiency.
  • Perform thermal and heat transfer analysis on various test facility systems and components.
  • Support testing of main propulsion and power generation equipment.
  • Prepare technical reports and present findings to engineering management.
  • Develop and maintain program specific Pre and Post Test checklists.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and a minimum of 5 years of mechanical and/or electrical engineering work experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Proven competency in the operation of propulsion and power plant machinery; Fluid and Thermodynamic Systems experience.
  • Project Management Acuity and MS Office competency.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Test Facility and/or Power Generation/Chemical Facility operational experience.
  • FEA modeling experience.
  • Design Software Acuity (AutoCAD, Cero, Solidworks or equivalent).

Salary Range: $97,500 - $146,300
