Position Overview

The Principal Engineer, Manufacturing Applications plays a crucial role in the design, development, and testing of intricate or large-scale systems. This position ensures that all components of the system are effectively integrated and operate cohesively for all manufacturing and operational applications. As our manufacturing capabilities expand, you will contribute to delivering exceptional application and system deployments across the organization while also enhancing existing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to gather and document user requirements for our manufacturing applications.
  • Partner with development and engineering teams to articulate functional requirements and devise software solutions tailored for manufacturing applications.
  • Lead architectural and design discussions to identify the most effective technical solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and thought leadership to development, engineering, and support teams within system engineering.
  • Effectively communicate, spearhead initiatives, and drive actions to completion to meet organizational objectives.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Camstar / Opcenter MES.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making abilities, including resilience, urgency, and the capacity to remain composed under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate across the organization to manage expectations and set priorities.
  • Experience in high-level software design for MES to deliver scalable and sustainable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Danaher Business System principles.
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Batch/Device History Records in medical device manufacturing.
  • Understanding of Quality System Regulations (QSR) and relevant FDA regulations.
  • Experience implementing systems compliant with data integrity regulations.
