Position Overview

The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless dining experience by acting as a bridge between the kitchen and the service team. This position is essential for the timely and accurate delivery of food orders, contributing to overall guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently transport food from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring that all orders are accurate and presented according to standards.
  • Collaborate with various departments within the club to enhance the experience of Members and Guests.
  • Exhibit the Three Steps of Service consistently to maintain high service quality.
  • Report directly to the Food and Beverage Director/Service Director while also supporting Captains, Servers, and the Chef.

Daily Duties

  • Uphold ClubCorp service standards as outlined in the training program.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared as per the order tickets, including any special requests.
  • Verify that plate presentations meet established guidelines, including garnishes and cleanliness.
  • Restock service areas with necessary items such as plates, utensils, and to-go materials to facilitate efficient service.
  • Prepare trays with orders assigned to specific seats.
  • Assist in clearing and resetting tables promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in designated workspaces.
  • Support service and banquet staff as required.
  • Engage with Members and Guests professionally, accommodating changes and last-minute requests.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Be proactive in assisting team members and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Report any Member or Guest complaints to management immediately and work towards effective resolutions.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards of operation.
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions, manage multiple tasks, and maintain an efficient work pace.
  • Commit to safe working practices and conduct at all times.
  • Participate in daily team meetings and adhere to uniform standards.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions.
  • Comfortable working in both indoor and occasional outdoor settings.
