Job Overview

As a dynamic and expanding organization, we are seeking a dedicated professional to enhance our quality assurance efforts.

We are in search of a full-time Quality Assurance Inspector for our 1st shift operations. This role is crucial in maintaining quality standards within a high-volume mail production setting. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, reliability, and a commitment to excellence.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm. Overtime may be required during peak production periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments and approve new projects using a standardized checklist.
  • Perform regular quality control inspections on ongoing tasks throughout the shift.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to missing mail items, postage discrepancies, and incorrect piece counts.
  • Maintain accurate records of postage errors for reconciliation.
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation is complete before the reconciliation process.
  • Identify opportunities for procedural enhancements and process improvements.
  • Support Client Services and Accounting teams with inquiries related to specific projects.
  • Handle daily mail piece corrections by replacing damaged items with reprints.
  • Report all quality-related issues to the QA Supervisor promptly.
  • Assist the Mail Services team with production tasks as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in work hours, including the potential for extended shifts and weekend work during busy periods.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in quality assurance or control within a fast-paced production environment is essential.
  • Experience in quickly identifying and resolving errors is necessary.
  • Previous exposure to print and mail production, with an emphasis on quality assurance, is highly advantageous.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills are required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to effectively address quality concerns are crucial.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and requirements is essential.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed is required.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, accurate color vision, peripheral vision, and focus adjustments.
