Quality Assurance Specialist

Eaton's CPDI PDI division is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring the overall quality of manufactured products. The Quality Assurance Specialist will rigorously test processes and enforce uncompromising quality standards.

The specialist is also responsible for creating detailed documentation, designing strict quality tests, and setting clear criteria for test results.

Quality Assurance Specialists maintain high-quality standards and decisively address any issues that arise.

They work alongside a team of professionals to ensure that final products consistently meet and exceed customer expectations while optimizing the manufacturing process to be both efficient and cost-effective.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements quality standards and control systems.
  • Monitors and analyzes quality performance.
  • Inspects and tests materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Collaborates with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements.
  • Collaborates with suppliers to ensure that all raw materials meet organizational quality standards.
  • Interprets customer feedback for identifying flaws in manufactured goods and suggests/implements changes wherever needed.
  • Monitors employee training and safety standards followed as a part of manufacturing process.
  • Analyzes and documents potential issues in production process and designs methods to fix them.
  • Stays updated about the legal standards and regulations for manufactured products and ensures compliance to those standards.
  • Improves customer satisfaction and brand loyalty through quality consistent products.
  • Collates data and prepares quality reports to analyze external and internal quality standards.
  • Leads cross-functional teams during root cause analysis events.

Requirements:
Required (Basic)

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3 months of Quality or Manufacturing experience.
  • Geographic flexibility to relocate within the United States.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred

Requirements:


  • +2 years Quality engineering experience.
  • Understanding of problem-solving methodologies used in determining root cause and formulating corrective action(s).
  • Experience in electrical testing procedures, protocols, and mathematic principles.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret regulation and standards, and implementing Electrical Safe Work practices such NFPA 70E.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and trouble shoot electrical control, protection, instrumentation, and metering schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience supporting Engineered to Order (ETO) manufacturing plant.

Additional Information:

  • Position requires supporting operations 24/7, as worked out on collaborative team schedule of controls engineers & technicians.
