Soil Quality Specialist

Essel is seeking a skilled Soil Quality Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing grading observations, compaction testing, and special inspections on soils, aggregates, and asphalt.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct grading observations to ensure compliance with project documents.
- Perform compaction testing on soils, aggregates, and asphalt to ensure quality control.
- Provide special inspections per additional inspection certifications in accordance with approved project documents.
- Document project grading activities to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide sampling and Quality Control of concrete and/or grout to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Requirements:
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers, clients, consultants, contractors, and potential clients.
- Nuclear gauge usage certification.
- ACI Field Technician Grade 1 license.
- ICC Soils Inspector License is a plus.
- ICC Reinforced Concrete is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
