Finance Associate

Job Summary:
The Finance Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring that financial transactions are executed promptly and accurately, adhering to all relevant institutional, state, and federal regulations, policies, and guidelines.

The primary responsibilities of the Finance Associate include managing routine travel arrangements, procurement processes, accounts payable and receivable, as well as accounting and asset management tasks.

Additionally, this role involves cash handling, processing warrant requests, managing internal charges, and reconciling revenue and expense records.

The Finance Associate collaborates closely with departmental employees and functional office staff, delivering exceptional customer service and professionalism in all interactions.

This position operates under close supervision and is expected to leverage technology to provide high-quality professional services.

Minimum Qualifications:
A high school diploma accompanied by two years of relevant finance experience; equivalent education or experience will be considered. Proficiency or training in Microsoft applications is required. A demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new hardware and software systems is essential.

Proven ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with applicable rules and regulations, including HIPAA and FERPA guidelines.

Effective communication skills in both written and verbal formats are necessary, along with the ability to build and sustain positive relationships both within and outside of reporting lines.

Strong organizational skills to establish priorities and meet deadlines are required.


Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a collaborative team environment. Familiarity with SAP or other large integrated finance systems. Knowledge of finance terminology and practices. Understanding of federal and state laws and guidelines related to business operations.
