Senior Member Service Representative

As a Senior Member Service Representative at TAPCO Credit Union, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional member service and support. Your primary responsibility will be to greet and welcome members in a professional manner, providing prompt and accurate member transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opening new member accounts, certificate of deposits, IRAs, and HSA accounts.
- Processing plastic cards, opening/closing safety deposit boxes, and processing stop payments as needed.
- Assisting members with paying and receiving transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cash advances, travel cards, gift cards, money orders, cashier's checks, checks, and loan payments.
- Receiving applications for consumer loans, meeting with applicants, explaining credit policies, providing guidance, and verifying application data.
- Balancing cash drawers at the end of the business day and researching and resolving discrepancies.
- Handling cash and checks within set limits and placing holds when needed.
- Performing drive-up functions and night drop duties as assigned.
- Understanding and selling GAP, Warranties, and payment protection plans.
- Building and retaining member relationships through outbound calling to current and potential members.
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of all credit union products and services.
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of and adhering to the requirements of all related policies, procedures, rules, and regulations required for the position.
- Promoting, explaining, and cross-selling TAPCO services and products.
- Demonstrating an understanding of and adhering to the requirements of all federal, state, and local laws, including those of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), as it specifically relates to the job functions.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years' experience as a MSR 1 or as a teller in a financial institution.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).
- High level of member service and good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use related computer software, Microsoft Office products, and business equipment, including adding machines, copy machines, coin and money counting machines.
- Flexibility is necessary as an employee's job responsibilities may change at any time during employment.
Working Conditions:
- The work environment is an office setting.
- Onsite work is essential.
- Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Frequently required to sit and stand for longer periods of time.
- Occasionally, you may be required to work temporarily or permanently at one of the company's other branches. Additionally, the company reserves the right to transfer you to another branch location, either temporarily or permanently, at its sole discretion.
