About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced RF/Antenna Application Engineer to join our Customer Excellence team. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with customers to engineer what's ahead, solve their real-world engineering problems, and deploy Ansys software in their design workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead in coordinating and executing all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, including technical discovery, product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations.
  • Interact with customers to understand their product design needs and engineering design workflows, and analyze how to address their requirements using Ansys products and platform.
  • Assist in creating differentiating simulation solutions using the Ansys platform and products, and deploy these solutions within customers' design workflows.
  • Develop competence as a subject matter expert and industry expert, and collaborate with Ansys product development teams to translate customer requirements into exciting new product features.
  • Support Ansys field and digital marketing, author conference presentations, and contribute to consulting services and training classes.
Requirements
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in an engineering software environment.
  • Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages.
  • Experience with antenna applications or RF component design, and coupled RF-thermal simulations.
  • Design knowledge of antennas, RF components, matching networks, and installed antenna performance.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and previous usage of ANSYS HFSS, ANSYS SIwave, ANSYS Q3D Extractor, or other simulation software involving real-world, industry-level applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+8, MS+6, or PhD+3.
  • 2 years of experience in application engineering, customer support, or consulting services-type customer-facing roles using engineering software.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and C-level executives.
