Job Overview

The Project Manager at NBCUniversal is tasked with overseeing the design and development of immersive environments at Universal Studios Hollywood. Key Responsibilities:

  • For tenant projects, under the guidance of management:
    • Evaluate tenant design proposals and manage the review process.
    • Document feedback and communicate it back to the tenant.
    • Ensure that all feedback is addressed appropriately.
    • Assist tenants in understanding NBCUniversal's standards, building codes, and other requirements.
    • Monitor tenant progress and relay updates to the team.
    • Coordinate tenant activities with operational and management teams.
    • Review work to guarantee quality execution.
    • Identify issues and develop alternative solutions as necessary.
    • Ensure compliance with NBCUniversal policies.
  • For owner-initiated projects, under the guidance of management:
    • Collaborate with operational groups to define project objectives.
    • Develop strategies to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Create and manage project budgets and timelines, providing ongoing status updates.
    • Select and contract with external resources as directed by management.
    • Review change orders for accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
    • Generate and manage scopes of work.
    • Lead project teams and coordinate their efforts.
    • Review work to ensure quality of design and execution.
    • Identify issues and develop alternative solutions as necessary.
    • Ensure compliance with NBCUniversal policies.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of seven years in project management or construction management within hospitality, commercial, or industrial sectors.
  • Experience managing construction projects or working in various roles with a general contractor, including estimating, budgeting, and field experience.
  • Strong understanding of project accounting, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, document management, and contract management.
  • Experience in developing scopes of work and contracting documentation.
  • Knowledge of project management processes and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and applicable codes.
  • Experience working with building and health department regulations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify project-related risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam.
  • This position requires full-time presence at an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
