Job Summary:

The Nonprofit Tax Manager at BDO is responsible for providing expert tax advice to clients, evaluating tax implications, and identifying opportunities to minimize tax burdens. As a key member of the regional Nonprofit Tax team, you will be involved in marketing and networking within your area of expertise, while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure clients comply with tax regulations while minimizing tax and reporting burdens.
  • Conduct tax research and resolve issues with clients, involving specialists as needed.
  • Plan for early recognition of material tax and compliance issues, consulting with clients and partners as appropriate.
  • Review and analyze tax workpapers and disclosure for audited financial statements.
  • Develop and implement efficient tax strategies to maximize client benefits.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics; Master's in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
  • Five or more years of nonprofit tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting, or consulting experience required.
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA) required.
What We Offer:

BDO offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $150,000, depending on qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
