Position: Help Desk Support
Role Overview: MIKEL is currently in search of a candidate for the Help Desk Support position. This role involves providing technical assistance to a team supporting the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNWPT) Code 25 laboratory. Ideal candidates should exhibit strong organizational skills and possess excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account creation across various applications.
- Deliver technical assistance and support for incoming inquiries and issues related to web-based applications.
- Leverage knowledge bases and in-house developer support to identify optimal solutions based on customer-reported issues.
- Engage with customers to ascertain the nature of their problems.
- Follow up with customers to confirm resolution of issues.
- Provide program support to government clients, including general administrative, clerical, writing, and ad hoc programmatic tasks.
- Assist in the documentation and dissemination of secure laboratory policies and procedures.
- Facilitate purchasing through the DoD ITPR process.
- Monitor COTS software licenses and renewals.
- Conduct daily meetings with government clients to manage task requirements and shifting priorities.
- 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Navy policies and procedures regarding secure laboratories is advantageous.

A Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance or higher is required at the time of hire.
