Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Specialist to join our team. As a Sales Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our communities in California to achieve greater occupancy and sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Regional Director of Sales, Regional Director of Operations, and Community Executive Directors in achieving sales goals and increasing occupancy.
  • Travel to Discovery Senior Living communities as assigned and work as needed to support census development and sales efforts.
  • Manage lead databases, analyze sales trends, and develop strategies to increase sales productivity and move-in expectations.
  • Understand key services and amenities offered at our communities, including levels of care and programs.
  • Complete daily internal sales activities, including converting inquiry calls to appointments, conducting quality tours, and contacting prospects and families via phone, email, and mail.
  • Distribute approved marketing materials and provide accurate customer information, pricing, and incentive information to support lease preparations.
  • Ensure community properties and team members provide an outstanding first impression for prospects.
  • Respond to walk-in tours and phone inquiries immediately and attend daily stand-up meetings to inform the community team of daily appointments and events.
  • Complete daily sales reports and provide weekly and monthly data and forecasts as requested by the ED, Regional team, or home office.
  • Conduct tours, luncheons, or other strategies with prospective clients and prospective client groups, and follow up with inquiry calls and work sales activities throughout the buying cycle.
  • Document weekly inventory of room availability and room readiness inventory, and assist with processing all required information necessary to complete a successful move-in.
  • Coordinate with other staff to ensure apartments are prepared for new resident move-in and model apartments are available and ready to show.
  • Evaluate and understand the competition and incorporate knowledge of competitor pricing and selling value into sales strategy.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of resident information and encourage teamwork through cooperative interaction with co-workers and other departments.
  • Responsible for completing pre-move in paperwork and coordinating with Department Heads to assure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Relations/Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • At least three years' experience in multi-community/regional sales manager role with supervisory experience.
