We are currently looking for a Pre-K Learning Specialist for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for the mission of Harlem Children's Zone, striving to support all our scholars in their journey to and through higher education. Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, with flexible hours between 8:00 am – 4:00 pm or 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

Qualifications and Skills

A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience required Valid New York State Teaching Certification in Students with Disabilities Birth-Grade 2 or All Grades required A strong dedication to the mission of Harlem Children's Zone 2 – 5 years of teaching experience in an urban educational environment is preferred Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000, with compensation determined by years of experience, educational qualifications, and certification status.

Furthermore, we equip our educators with the necessary tools for success. You will receive a personal laptop, smartboards, and tablets; bi-weekly professional development sessions; and the support of a dedicated team of academic coaches, deans, guidance counselors, and social workers committed to the success of all our scholars.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver a high-quality early learning program that integrates evidence-based practices and instructional activities both inside and outside the classroom. Tailor instruction based on data and individual student needs Create and implement individualized educational plans that foster social, intellectual, linguistic, physical, and emotional development appropriate for each child's age and stage Design effective instructional strategies aligned with students' needs and interests Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data from various assessments for each student Lead initiatives to identify and support special education students Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to ensure each student receives appropriate support for developmental success Regularly reflect on student assessment data with colleagues, administration, or families to adjust practices and enhance student achievement Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues Build meaningful relationships with families and engage parents in their children's educational journey Work collaboratively with administrators and specialists in lesson design, review, and execution, including participating in collaborative planning and peer review Foster a nurturing environment and model positive behavior for students Supervise and develop educational support staff Perform additional duties as assigned
