Instructional Coach

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Consultant to join our team at K12 Coalition. As an Instructional Consultant, you will play a critical role in supporting partner schools across the country to achieve world-class instruction through effective professional development and instructional coaching.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a skilled instructional leader to contribute to our organizational mission to close the opportunity gap across the country. The Instructional Consultant reports to the Managing Director of School Partnerships.
Key Responsibilities- Strategically set the vision for quality instruction and implementation of our curriculum and instructional models in a set of school or network/district partnerships to ensure excellent and equitable outcomes for all students.
- Ensure that high-quality, impactful instructional management plans, professional development, and coaching services are provided to teachers, instructional coaches, building leaders, and system leaders.
- Actively monitor progress of partners through onsite coaching, ongoing data analysis, and meetings with key stakeholders.
- Engage in collaborative team structures to ensure alignment between our team members and to continuously improve our instructional tools.
- 3+ years of K-12 leadership experience as an assistant principal, principal, charter or district level director or managing director, or superintendent.
- Experience teaching, coaching, and leading in a secondary math setting for 3+ years.
- Track record of achieving excellent results in a school setting working across grades K-12.
- Deep content knowledge in English Language Arts (Bachelors or Masters degree in an associated content area preferred) or Mathematics (Bachelors or Masters degree in an associated content area preferred).
- Superior writing and communication skills.
- Teaching experience (5+ years).
- Experience with teaching multilingual learners and diverse learner populations preferred.
- Knowledge of the Common Core State Standards preferred.
