Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Superintendent of Instruction to join our team at Uncommon Schools. This is a unique opportunity to lead and support the development of instructional leaders and academic programs across our network of schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Principals to evaluate and improve instruction, teacher training, and curriculum implementation.
  • Support Principals in building a positive culture with staff, students, and families.
  • Manage and develop Principals and instructional leaders through training, coaching, and evaluation.
  • Build a "one mission" culture for schools through Principal meetings and communications.
  • Ensure assessments, reports, and other data needs are managed and implemented by instructional leaders and school-based operations staff.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a school principal in a high-performing urban public school.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required, and a graduate degree in education, public policy, or related field is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity and success with implementing Uncommon's core tenets of instructional leadership is required.
