Job Title: Regional Superintendent of Instruction

Uncommon Schools NYC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Superintendent of Instruction to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving academic excellence and improving student outcomes across our network of schools.

Job Summary:

The Regional Superintendent of Instruction will oversee instructional programs and academic initiatives across a group of schools, working closely with school leaders and instructional teams to develop and implement effective instructional strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of instructional leadership, a passion for improving student outcomes, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement instructional programs and initiatives that align with Uncommon's mission and goals
  • Provide coaching and support to school leaders and instructional teams to improve instructional practices and student outcomes
  • Collaborate with school leaders and instructional teams to develop and implement data-driven instructional strategies
  • Monitor and analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions and improve student outcomes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with school leaders, instructional teams, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a school principal in a high-performing urban public school
  • Proven track record of improving student outcomes and instructional practices
  • Strong understanding of instructional leadership and data-driven instructional strategies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
