Sunnyvale, California, United States Amazon Full time
About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to join our team behind Amazon's Echo devices and experiences. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for defining and building the next generation of media experiences for Alexa-enabled devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceive, research, write, and execute against PRFAQs.
  • Assemble detailed BRDs and coordinate with stakeholders to refine requirements and drive toward launch.
  • Contribute to the media experiences roadmap and determine priorities based on KPIs, user research, and market trends.
  • Communicate status and recommend options to leadership in meetings and reviews.
A Day in the Life

You will be part of the team that touches virtually every new Alexa Device program we create. If media is part of the customer experience, we are involved to ensure a customer-obsessed experience.

Our workday varies considerably, but often includes:

  • Continual review of customer feedback to improve capabilities and quality.
  • Attendance in product review meetings and weekly business reviews.
  • Analysis of KPIs and other relevant metrics to determine the health of our experiences.
  • Research of new feature concepts and market trends.
About the Team

Our goal is to help our customers enjoy more of the content they love, more of the time. We seek to reduce friction and avoid setup burdens to make interactions between our users and devices as magical as possible.

We are collaborative and share ideas with each other to help each other solve problems and invent on behalf of our consumers.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in a technical field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience with 3+ years of consumer-facing feature/experience or device product management experience in mass market consumer electronics/software/hardware/sensors/mobile product management.
  • 5+ years experience shipping consumer features and experiences that involve hardware and software.
  • 5+ years experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver features/experiences or products and projects on tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.
  • Experience with the product development process for consumer device hardware.
  • Experience delivering consumer software products and services in a high-growth environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
  • High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done.
